The khimar is designed to cover the head down over the shoulders and chest – the upper body.
Our first Sunnah Attire brand khimar is the 3 layer ‘Soumayah’ khimar. It is comprised of elegantly designed layers with an integrated longer length niqaab for an extremely full coverage
Made with soft, lightweight and opaque chiffon; this delicate khimar offers a fuller, longer length coverage with an integrated niqaab/face veil which is is both breathable and comfortable.
Our ‘Soumayah’ Khimar is tie back, with three buttons on the third, outer layer which transform it into a wrapping cape.
The niqab can be worn on the inside of the cape when buttoned or it can be lifted out and draped on top – concealing the buttons beneath (as in the image below)
It also comes with the option of with or without a nose string, to suit your personal preference.
Washing and laundering advice: for best maintenance, this garment should be hand washed in either cold or cool water and the water gently squeezed out. It may be washed on a machine which is effective and has a ‘delicates’ cycle. It should be hung and air dried and then if ironing, make sure to iron on a cool heat whilst damp so as not to singe or burn the fabric.
